Congratulations to Pepito Pea who outlasted a field of 42 to win his 2nd Piranha Tournament of the year having won Tournament 12 just a few weeks earlier.
Pepito and Geoffrey Batuyong were battling it out head to head where the chip lead changed several times. Finally as the blinds were about to go to the highest level of 8k/16k (and approaching 9pm!). Both players got it all in with Pepito holding pocket Queens to Geoff’s A10. The flop comes 722 but then an Ace spikes on the turn and it looks like Geoff will cripple Pepito until the miracle Queen comes on the river to give Pepito his second victory of the season. Congrats to both Geoffrey and Pepito for their finish.
We also need to recognize Michael Gordon’s third place finish. Gordo having taken down the previous tournament was seeking to go back to back but it was not to be. Still, his 3rd place finish catapults him into the overall points leader.
