Watching him from the comfort of my home I thought it was completely entertaining. I admired his knowledge of the rules, his ability to bend it with his speech play and his counter arguments to Jack Effle with regards to the TDA rules. However like the other poor players who had to experience his 5 min pre flop tanking, I probably wouldn’t have the patience or endurance for it even with headphones and a blindfold.
A little talk is part of the game, but constant mindlesss chatter and slow play designed to piss off everybody at the table shouldn’t be. Frankly, I didn’t think he was all that good at the talk – certainly not in the same league as Jamie Gold – and his talk became totally ineffective near the end when everybody was on to his shtick. His main game was simply pissing people off.
Showing the bluff was cruel, designed to piss off rather than further his ability to talk people down.
