After a lively autograph session from Tony Gags, the 28 players were ready to battle for the 49 first place points and a shot at taking defending champion Magda down. Getting to the final table was no easy task as most of the field managed to hang in there over the 6 or so hours. Troy Soult busting in 10th brought us to our unofficial table as this tournament was only gonna pay the lucky 6. It was Tony Kinter and Lori Silver’s husband Syd Shebar who were next to go and we had our points bubble. \u00a0After a raise on the button from Alex Lum Ian Kawata shoved all in and Alex called. \u00a0Alex’s Ak coould not outrun the QQ of Ian and Alex was to walk away as the dreaded bubble. \u00a0Our final 6 was set, and it looked like it was gonna shape up to be a tough table.<\/p>\n

Esmerelda and Lori were the first 2 too go earning 6 and 9 points respectivly for their efforts. Previous 2nd place finisher Vlad was Gordo’s 2nd victim in a row and he was out 4th \u00a0with 16 points.<\/p>\n

Gordo could not suck out on Rob Reece’s kk after being trapped preflop with A10 and he earned 25 points for 3rd. \u00a0Our heads up battle was set with the winnner getting 49 points and the trophy, a.k.a John Marsh’s amazing wine class he left behind.<\/p>\n

In the end it was Rob Reece who took it down and earned himself a well deserved 49 points. \u00a0With Ian’s 2nd place finish and another final table added to this seasons resume he earned 36 points and now has 90 overall, which jumps him into 4th in the\u00a0Overall Standings<\/a>.<\/p>\n
