Another rainy day Piranha tournament turned out 36 players, despite a critical prior-day website malfunction. Piranha Poker Team welcomes new player Rod Flora who joined us for the first time this Saturday<\/span><\/span>. We started with five tables, with the very first elimination breaking the tables down to four. There were only a few down by the time the first break came, and eliminations happened relatively slowly throughout the day.<\/p>\n

A pivotal hand came while we were hand-for-hand on the bubble.After a pre-flop raise and call, flop came QJ7. Jeanette shoved, and had Sheng barely covered. Sheng tanked for some time before calling with Q8, which held out against Jeanette\u2019s pocket pair (Jacks if I recall). With the bubble crippled, we had our final table after the next hand.<\/p>\n

Later, when we were 6 handed, Bill with AK, doubled up Victoria (44) when the flop came and 4 showed up in the window. Victoria held on to that stack end ended up out in third.<\/p>\n

Heads up finally came with an all-in-fest between Andy and Pepito, with Pepito emerging the day\u2019s winner.<\/p>\n

In the end, Andy solidified his spot in the rankings, Pepito launched into a comfortable 3rd place, and Victoria grinded her way into the top ten. With only three regular season tournaments to go, and the distance between 7th and 13th place a mere 30 points, this summer\u2019s final lineup is still yet to be decided. The fields are going to start thinning now, as six more players played #17 as their final tournament this season.<\/p>\n
