{"id":1628,"date":"2016-10-03T19:48:24","date_gmt":"2016-10-04T02:48:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/piranhapokerteam.com\/?p=1628"},"modified":"2016-10-03T19:51:47","modified_gmt":"2016-10-04T02:51:47","slug":"is-it-a-repeat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/piranhapokerteam.com\/index.php\/2016\/10\/03\/is-it-a-repeat\/","title":{"rendered":"Is It a Repeat?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><b><\/b><span class=\"s1\">Piranha Season 11 Tournament 4 brought out a field of 24 players, including several new players to this season and a few returning veterans who we didn\u2019t see much last year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">One of the early notable hands is between Anne Stewart with KJ spades and Rod Flora with KQ off.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Flop comes J 8 9, with one spade.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Anne leads out and Rod calls.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Turn is the 10 of spades.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Anne bets,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Rod 3 bets after making his straight, and Anne calls.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>River is A of spades.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Anne checks her nut flush, Rod bets, Anne reraises, Rod calls.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Rod is left with a couple of big blinds and is soon the first to exit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Play went along fairly uneventful and we made final table by 6:00 p.m.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Final table consisted of:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Eric Grady, Vineet Kumar, Ian Kawata, Lynsy Iwamoto, Andy Park, Karen Alberts, Laura Marshall, Amo Tarnoo, and Rich Modjeski. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1629\" src=\"http:\/\/piranhapokerteam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_1394-17-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"img_1394-17\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/piranhapokerteam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_1394-17.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/piranhapokerteam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_1394-17-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/piranhapokerteam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_1394-17-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Vineet, making his second final table in two weeks, was first out, finishing in 9th place.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>He was quickly followed by Laura Marshall when chip leader, Karen Alberts shoved her AK suited and Laura called with A 10 suited.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>No help for Laura and she was out in 8th.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Ian Kawata raised preflop holding an AK.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Karen, with pocket 44 called.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Insignificant flop and Ian shoved after the flop, Karen called. No help for Ian and he bubbled, out in 7th.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Rich Mojeski shoved his AK off after Amo Tarnoff 3-bet his KQ of clubs.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The club flush came for Amo knocking Rich out in 6th place for 3 points.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Eric Grady is holding KQ on the button. Karen Alberts raised her KJ to 2500 UTG.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Eric shoves his final 9200.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Karen calls.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Flop is Q 9 x.
