Piranha’s busiest stretch of the year ended with its 4th tournament in 5 weeks, and it showed as 29 brave souls fought through the poker hangover as they battled for a first place prize of 50 points in tournament #6. 1/3 of the field was gone by lunch time and it didn’t take long to get to a final table that was chalked full of Elite players in Piranha history.
Magda Wybult, Claudine Lally, Ray Chui, Adrian Aguliar, Dennis Koeller, Ian Kawata, Jeanette Sims, Blue Sirius, and Victoria Dea made up this tough final table.
First to go was Vicky Dea with Jeanette Simms not to far behind in 8th. A short stacked Ian Kawata managed to double twice and void the dreaded bubble as this baby was only paying the top 6. Unfortunatly it was Piranha legend Blue Sirius bursting the bubble and we were in the points
Ian was next to go followed by Ray and Dennis. Claudine Lally was next to go in 3rd and it set up a final 2 between Magda and Adrian who were already in the top 10 in points.
With a board of j7x Adrian shoved with 72 and Magda found a call with J8. The turn and the river brought 2 more jacks for Magda and she left Adrain in 2nd place for 37 points and 93 overall moving him to 3rd in the standings. You can see the hand here
Magda’s 1st earned her 50 points and after her 3rd place finish in tournament #5 that jumped her to 4th overall with 81 total.
