Congratulations to Ed Sandoval who outlasted 21 other players to take down Tournament 12. Ed, the original founder of Piranha won his first tournament in 20 seasons! It just shows that perseverance pays off!
Ed battled Ivy Tran heads up and with her 2nd place finish, Ivy jumps into 3rd place in the overall standings.
In the final hand, Ivy with her short stack jammed with 10 7 and was called by Ed holding K2s. A flop of KcQh3c gave Ed top pair but the Jc on the turn gave Ivy life with an open ended straight draw and flush draw. But another King on the river ended gave Ed the victory.
With 3 tournaments left in Season 20, there is still time to qualify for a WSOP seat. A reminder that Dom Chan qualified for seats in Season 18 and Season 19 after winning the last two tournaments so its certainly possible!
