Gerry overcame a big deficit in heads up battle with Dom Chan, with back to back double ups when he was behind before taking the chip lead. Dom battled back to make virtually even until the final hand
After Gerry raises on the button, Dom jams all in and Gerry calls with his pocket 6s and Dom holding Ace of clubs and 9 hearts. The flop is 9 5 8 all clubs with Dom hitting top pair. The King of clubs comes on the turn and Dom improves to the nut flush. Everyone thinks its over and we almost did not do a runout of the last card.
But the cards is the 7 of clubs. For a moment, it looked like Dom won the tournament but upon closer examination, we realized that Gerry had a straight flush with his 6 clubs. The one outer gave Gerry the win after we confirmed he barely had Dom covered!
