21 players showed up in San Pablo on Saturday, January 26th for the 11th tournament of the season. Early notable hands included Bill Sims hitting a Straight Flush against Patrick Galamay’s two pair in the very first round. Leading up to the final table, Tony G. was clearly securing his lead, double busting Ricky and Michael around 5:30 PM.
Next to head home was Gordo, when his pocket 6’s didn’t hold up against Amo Tarnoff’s AK, with a flop of 4-3-10, then runner runner Q, J, for Broadway.
Around 7pm- the bubble. Gilbert’s all in with KQ against Amo’s AQ- Amo’s ace holds up sending Gilbert home, and moving the table into the points. Last Players standing were the following 5: Tony R, Bill Sims, Joe W, Amo and Tony G. Tony pushes with AQ against Joe W’s AJ, and a Jack landed on the flop, sending Tony R. to collect his fifth place points. Next, Bill S. didn’t get any help from the board with his all-in against Tony G’s pocket Jacks, giving Bill fourth place. Joe W. took third place with his A-10 missing against Amo’s AK with a rivered King for Amo. By 7:30 PM, Tony G. (chip leader) and Amo are heads up- with Tony’s final hand (Q8) as victorious when two Queens hit the board.
Congratulations to all!
